THE PROBLEM

The condition of toilets in many schools around South Africa are bad and don’t meet the UN’s Wash Model. With no water, 90% of toilets can’t flush. There is a lack of toilet paper or soap, and often no change rooms available. As the schools also don’t have germ cleaners, it presents serious safety risk. Furthermore, it negatively influences our own Dignity Packs program because without bins to dispose of sanitary pads, they get flushed and block toilets.

Wash Model Product

WE’VE BUILT ONE ALREADY

Based on our plans for our Wash Model toilets we built our first one last year in Taung, in the North West Province of South Africa and with all the donations and funding we received, we were able to give them toilet products for 3 months.

HOW WE WORK

Our partnership with the Obama Foundation helps us drive this and other programs through their extensive network. For starters, we’re trying to raise $50 000 towards this cause, which you can easily participate in by donating on the gofundme.com page. If you’re a corporate looking for your next CSI project, help us build a bathroom and we’ll be your implementation entity to make it all happen.

We use donations and funds to build new toilets

If there are toilets, we’ll upgrade them

Schools can order products from our suppliers.
